Para la Universidad de Santander (UDES), este ODS es el núcleo de nuestra identidad. No solo participamos en la innovación, sino que la lideramos y construimos activamente la "triple infraestructura" necesaria para el futuro: la infraestructura humana (el talento de vanguardia), la infraestructura física (los espacios para crear) y la infraestructura del conocimiento (la investigación que resuelve problemas).

Nuestro programa de semilleros es la prueba de una estrategia masiva y articulada. El éxito de esta política se mide en resultados contundentes: en el XXVII Encuentro Nacional de RedCOLSI, la UDES participó con 39 proyectos de investigación presentados por 46 estudiantes. Este esfuerzo se replica en nuestros campus, con el campus Valledupar destacándose con más de 10 proyectos en el encuentro departamental, y eventos consolidados como la Geoferia en la XVI Semana Técnica de Geología.

Our seedbed program is proof of a broad, articulated strategy. The success of this policy is measured in striking results: at the 27th RedCOLSI National Meeting, UDES participated with 39 research projects presented by 46 students. This effort is replicated across our campuses, with the Valledupar campus standing out with more than 10 projects at the departmental meeting, and established events such as the GeoFair during the 16th Technical Week of Geology.

Demostramos que la innovación trasciende lo técnico. En la UDES, la innovación también es social y cultural. Fomentamos la "Investigación-Creación" a través de la Convocatoria Interna de Creación, exposiciones como "Entre Arte y Ciencia", proyectos de divulgación cultural como "La Maleta Viajera de la Cultura Guane" y apoyando el impacto social directo, como la beca otorgada a nuestra graduada para un proyecto de Clown Hospitalario.

We show that innovation transcends the technical. At UDES, innovation is also social and cultural. We promote "Research-Creation" through the Internal Creation Call, exhibitions such as "Between Art and Science", cultural outreach projects like "The Traveling Suitcase of Guane Culture", and by supporting direct social impact — for example, the scholarship awarded to our graduate for a Hospital Clowning project.

Ingeniería Civil completó con éxito un proyecto pionero para transformar lodos de relave minero en placa huella para vías rurales. Ingeniería Ambiental presentó una propuesta modelo para la viabilidad ambiental de la industria calera en Santander. En la Serranía de los Yariguíes, trabajamos con ASOYARIGUIES (MinCiencias) para convertir residuos orgánicos en biogás. En "Maquilando Felicidad", promovemos la economía circular y la reducción de la contaminación.

Civil Engineering successfully completed a pioneering project to transform mine tailings sludge into paving slabs for rural roads. Environmental Engineering presented a model proposal for the environmental viability of the lime industry in Santander. In the Serranía de los Yariguíes, we work with ASOYARIGUIES (MinCiencias) to convert organic waste into biogas. In "Maquilando Felicidad", we promote the circular economy and pollution reduction.
